WHAT IS INSULATION?

By insulation we mean the set of technological actions aimed to reduce the thermal flow of heat between two environments with different temperatures.

THERMAL COVERING

The meaning of " thermal and acoustic covering" is not probably known to everyone. It refers to a very important aspect in industrial plants. Insulation is a precise technique applied both in thermal and acoustic ffields, with the aim of insulating the systems to avoid or reduce as much as possible heat or sound exchanges between them.

THE COVERING MATERIALS

The covering materials are different and depend on the characteristics of the component to be insulated. The most used materials are rock and glass wool and ceramic fiber for insulation in "hot" service or heat conservation, while cellular glass, better known as "foamglas or cellular glass", and closed cell synthetic rubber for insulation in "cold" service. All materials used must comply with the latest Health and Safety regulations.

INSULATION AND SPECIFIC COVERING FOR EVERY INDUSTRIAL SECTOR

Working on customer specifications or after carrying out thermal measurements on site analyzed to elaborate intervention plans, Isovit creates solutions to guarantee the preservation of a very high temperatures using materials such as mats, cupels and rock or glass wool panels, water-soluble glass fiber for high temperatures, prefabrication of thermal insulating cushions.

To preserve from extremely low temperatures, ISOVIT uses materials such as closed-cell synthetic rubber in cups or sheets, polyurethane in preforms and cellular glass. The external coatings can be in pre-formed aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel and PVC.
